The Parish Council have appointed Kirkwells as their consultant for the preparation of the Neighbourhood Plan.
Two councillors and a small group of volunteers are working up the proposals and the first draft of the plan has been issued to the working group.
The next stage after analysing and amending the draft will be to conduct a public consultation which will be well advertised in advance.
The plan has taken into account the responses by over 300 parishioners to the online survey held earlier this year.

What is a Neighbourhood Plan?
It gives communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape development, growth and facilities in their local area.
Why does the parish of Cubbington need a Neighbourhood Plan?
Cubbington (old & new) is designated a “growth village” in the Warwick District Council Local Plan 2011-2029. During its preparation, significant green belt areas to the West and East of Cubbington were identified, with landowners ready to sell to developers but this land was not incorporated within the current plan
Cubbington is currently surrounded by green belt but real pressures may come to bear in the next 5-10 years due to our location to major road networks, Coventry Airport Megafactory/ Jaguar Land Rover / University of Warwick and potential removal of green belt designation post HS2 construction.
if we want to preserve and enhance our community, if we want a collective voice and influence going forward – we need a plan.
